Twister Pinweel....MANIA?
Oh, yeahhhh!!!!!
Here below there are some my last works that I made with this interesting pattern:
a colored cushion for my friend Marina...
.....and with the scraps here is a cute pouch...
...then I made this little top: I will make a lovely cushion for my daughter Anna...
.....and this is the center block of my next project, a Medallion Quilt. This is a project that our quilters'group have decided to make together, everyone with her own fabrics choice. I use Tilda fabric, a selection of pink, red and aqua by Tone Finnager and white solid cotton.
The result is just as I had imagined it!

My last handworks
Last Sunday, at Vicenza Patchwork fair "Abilmente", I saw a cute pouch like a "cat".
So, I have tried to make one like that.
The result is quite satisfactory:

I will send it to Anna in U.S.A. for her little things!
Then, my friend Anna showed to me and other three our friends, the istructions to make a useful "work sewing case". We decided to make ones for each of us.
....and finally I finished the handquilting of my Freee Stripes Quilt!
Really a cute quilt!

Ikea Table Runner? Noooo,.......a new bag!
I like to try out new ideas with different materials and.....why not?....not too expensive!
An Ikea Table Runner is perfect for an experiment!
The cotton fabric is very strong and it has the right heaviness; batting or interfacing aren't needed if you want to make a tote bag.
For the lining I used a cute flowers fabric, bought at Irene's shop (La Volpe Rossa), and green ikea cotton......

So.....said and done!

It's an everyday tote bag: strong and simple!
Another little work in this week:
For this pouch I used terrycloth lining: it was very difficult to work with the terrycloth but I wanted to try. I had a piece of this fabric and I thought it was adapt for a pouch.....moreover it had my favourite color in this period.....
ACID GREEN!!!

Summer time......small projects!
In these hot days, I can't think to work with a big quilt, a warm stuffing and hours of quilting!
So.....little projects are a good solution!
In a curtains' shop I have found vinyl "fabric"......... and then a perfect tutorial on Crazy Mom Quilts! Her blog is really a source of inspiration and teachings!
