Mr. PIPS is finished!!!

Finally! The "Mr. Pips' Quilt" is finished! In the afternoon, I made the latest stitches. This quilt has a troubled story because I took it and left it several times: there was always something else to do! But now, I'm very happy to have in my hands this fresh and lovely quilt!

...and immediately my daughter Anna said:" Wow mom! I like it! "

So, my friend Pips became "Mr. Pips Anna's Quilt"!

I have to say the true: it's perfect on Anna's bed!

This is the back of the quilt: I love it very much!
It is like to have a second quilt!

When a teenager is happy.......her mom is very happy!!!

Now.....let's move on to another project!

As I promised.....

Yesterday, the weather was windy and rainy......the perfect day to cooking!
As I promise last  time, I made apricots' jam, my favourite jam!!!

For the jam in the jars on the left, I used brown sugar and a little bit of grated lemon peel:
I liket the jam not too sweet!

We just have to taste!

..and Kaffe Fasset Collective...(my first K.F. fabrics!)

I'm very happy! I just have to project a beautiful handmade thing!

Siggies parade!

Today I want to show some siggies that I received during these months. I began to collect them last autumn, when my patchwork teacher Nichi gave me her siggy and told me about the Siggy Swap and the Annelise list.
I love these little blocks: they tell me the stories about quilters around the world!
This is my siggy...

....and these are some of siggies received...

When I'll have enough siggies, I'll make "The Friendship Quilt".

Roxy Quilt meets Mondrian

Modern Art can inspire even a beginner like me! Mondrian's Art is perfect!
I though to make this table runner............

.....on my kitchen table.....

......in the dining room.....

.......or on the portico table!

I really like Piet Mondrian but in the future I'd like to do something inspired by the drawings of my preferite artist, M.C. Escher.  I know that it is indeed a hard, hard idea!

No sooner said than done.......

Hello everyone! I'm back!
Last week was a hard week for me and my family and I couldn't touch computer......but now I'm home again!
To relax, I made this useful pouch for the new Anna's iPhone!
I saw a beautiful one on Quiltycat and the tutorial here!

Anna is really pleased!
