Anna in U.S.A.

Two weeks ago my daughter Anna has begun her school year abroad, in Waukesha Wisconsin.

Here, the AFS group, boys and girls  from all over the world, arrived at Chigago Area. Anna is the first (up) on the right.

With the hosting family: Anna, Zac, Jachi, Sue, Gabi and John.

A new friend!

The first football match.

In a few days she will begin the high school, like a senior: she has a tough year in front of her but this is her opportunity!
So.....good job Anna!

Destination: WISCONSIN - U.S.A.

The last Monday we received the letter from AFS with the information about the place and the hosting family in USA where my daughter Anna will live during the next school year

and the school that Anna will attend

We are all very happy for this good destination and we hope that Anna will have a wonderful experience!

Anna WON!!!

This is a special post......not from a quilter but from an happy mom!!!

My daughter Anna, seventeen years old, won a prestigious scholarship for one school year in USA!!!
She made, last November and December, a lot of tests, competitive examinations and selections for
"AFSIntercultura Programs"

AFS is a no-profit international exchange organization for students. You can read the AFS history here in English and here in Italian.

Anna will leave the next August and  she will attend in USA the fouth year of high school ( we do not know yet the town and the hosting family).
We are all very happy for this great experience that Anna will do......but....... how many tears of happiness and sadness in my mom's heart?

Dear Anna we are very proud of you!

You have the future in your hands and the world is waiting for you!
