New year.........

.........new sewing place!!!! Oh yeahhh!!!

I was sick going around home with my sewing machine in one hand and the cutting mat and the ruler in the others: one time on the kitchen table......but .....and the dinner??? another time on the table in the living  room...but no chance...non peace...no work!

So...last week I moved a sofa from the living room and I got free a large part of the room!

A short visit to Ikea....and that's it!!!

Two Expedit 2x2, Galant table top 160X80 cm., Alex drawer unit (I put 4 usefull wheels) an a cute Ingolf chair!

Taaa dahh!!! My new sewing pace!!!

Everything has its place and I have all  I need on hand.

And now...ready to work!!!
I like it very much!

A different project.....

During the last week, I worked very hard on a different project: Confirmation keepsakes for Nicola, my friend Sabina's child.
I wanted to make something different from the usual,  like little paper boxes or tulle small bags.
So .....my japanese style came out!
I made 25...."squares"about 20 cm x 20 cm: I used a beautiful linen and a bundle of  Robert Kaufman fabrics with japanese pattern.
When the squares are finished, I refolded them around the 5 "sugarcoated almonds"and I tied the little packet with a ribbon.
Really amazing little things in Japanese Style!
I'm very satisfied with the result and I hope that Nicola and Sabina too.

My last handworks

Last Sunday, at Vicenza Patchwork fair "Abilmente", I saw a cute pouch like a "cat".
So, I have tried to make one like that.
The result is quite satisfactory:

I will send it to Anna in U.S.A. for her little things!

Then, my friend Anna showed to me and other three our friends, the istructions to make a useful  "work sewing case". We decided to make ones for each of us.

....and finally I finished the handquilting of my Freee Stripes Quilt!

Really a cute quilt!
